The Royal Danish art academy consists of 7 professor schools/departments and a basic studies department. The academy offers a three years bachelor and a three years master program, both 180 ECTS.
170 students are enrolled at the academy. The teaching at the academy is a combination of lectures, workshops, excursions, individual tutoring and other things.
The teaching is undertaken by a staff of professors and lecturers, many of them internationally-based high profiled visual artists. In addition, large numbers of artistic and academic guest lecturers from inside and outside Denmark come to teach and to undertake tutorials and studio visits. At the academy Individual student work is central, every student gets a studio space in which most of the individual tutoring is carried out.
The academy admits guest students for one or 2 semesters at schools/departments that have free spaces.

Painting. Sculpture. Graphic Arts. Media Arts. Time-based Media. “Wall and Space” (an interdisciplinary study).
